The City of Fairfax Band Association is pleased to offer scholarship to talented musicians each year, and this year is no exception. This years competition had 11 applicants from a total of 10 high schools across Fairfax County. This first round of competition consists of submitted recordings to be reviewed by music director, Robert Pouliot. All submissions were exceptional, and the decision was difficult. However, we are pleased to congratulate the following finalists:

The final round of auditions will be on Sunday, March 4 at 7 PM, where the finalists will be presented in an open recital at Old Town Hall in Fairfax. The public is welcome to attend the recital. The announcement of the competition winner will be made at the recital on the 4th The winner will receive a $2000 cash award and perform with the City of Fairfax Band on their final subscription series concert, “The Americans,” on Saturday, May 19 at 7:30 PM at Fairfax High School.
